The Banca Popolare di Vicenza Group, founded in Vicenza in 1866 as the first cooperative bank in the Veneto Region, is ranked eleven among the Italian banks based on total assets, with 1.7% market share in terms of number of branches.
The distribution network is made up of more than 550 points of sales (including branches, financial shops and private banking centers) based in 16 Italian regions, deeply rooted in particular in Veneto and throughout north-east. The client base is mainly represented by individuals, professionals and SMEs.
The Group is focused on the distribution of financial and banking products as well as related services mainly through strategic partnerships and commercial agreements with specialized operators. The main shareholder is represented by the Atlante Fund (close-end alternative private-equity fund managed by Quaestio Capital Management SGRE S.p.A.) which holds the 99.33% of the bank capital, following its full subscription of the 1.5bn euro capital increase finalized on 4 May 2016.
The remaining part of the capital is held by about 119,000 shareholders.
